Britney, Spears, Danjahandz, Justin, Timberlake, Ryan, Seacrest, Kevin, Federline,

Paris Hilton, Britney Spears

Hollywood’s top party tarts aren’t the BFFs they used to be, but that’s not why Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan ditched the “Teen Choice Awards,” last Sunday. According to the New York Post’s Page Six, all three took a pass at the requests of their publicists, none of which much appreciated a new category for which their clients were nominated.

“There was originally going to be a ‘Newsmakers of the Year’ award,” an insider told Page Six. “Paris was nominated for her 23-day stint in jail, Lindsay for her latest DUI bust and Britney for the infamous head-shaving incident. But none of them would dare to show up ... all the publicists (for the celebutards) went crazy on Fox, and they just scrapped the category.”

Some particularly uptight parents might go so far as to venture none of these young ladies actually achieved anything appropriate for an award show aimed at kids. Meanwhile, despite the cancelled category, two other nominees took advantage of their free “Teen Choice Awards” tickets and showed up anyway: “American Idol” phenom Sanjaya Malakar and Larry Birkhead, who according to Page Six, brought his 16-year-old nephew and not Dannielynn, the baby he fathered with Anna Nicole Smith.

Britney Just Says Ne-Yo to New Single

Britney Spears' long-threatened single could be released as early as next week. Whether Ne-Yo had a hand in producing the album from which it will be culled is another matter. As is whether the whole of Spears' entourage will be under subpoena by the time the tune is unleashed on the world.

"Gimme More," the reputed first single from the onetime pop princess' long-gestating fifth studio album, could debut as soon as next week, according to EW.com. The site claims that neither of the two songs that have already leaked online under the guise of being the comeback track are the real deal.

According to one source who's been privy to the career-fixing track, the song is described as "an uptempo club cut" and "funky" and is produced by Timbaland protégé Nate "Danjahandz" Hills, who has scored hits for the likes of Justin Timberlake and T.I.

Further boosting the credibility of the single's existence is the fact that the music video Spears was shooting in July, around the time of her disastrous OK! cover shoot, was also produced under the name "Gimme More."

EW.com also reports that the so far untitled album from which the single comes is still aiming for a fall release and will likely get put out with little to no promotional backing. Not that she needs any.

The forthcoming album is already a talking point for at least one loose-lipped artist, who claims he penned between six and eight songs specifically for Spears' album—none of which are guaranteed to wind up on the disc.

"I have no idea what's going on with Britney Spears right now," Ne-Yo told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM radio show Wednesday.

The rapper-producer told Seacrest he gave Spears first dibs on the tracks "before she shaved her head and went into rehab again."

"When that happened, I lost all contact with her A&R people, with her label," he said, adding it came to the point where her representatives were no longer returning his calls. "I was like, I guess they weren't interested no more."

At that point, Pussycat Dolls frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger heard two of the Spears-bound tracks and recorded—and, more important, paid for—the songs. Ne-Yo claims Spears' people suddenly renewed their interest in the tracks "Happily Never After" and "Save Me From Myself."

"I'm like, uh, hold on. Y'all didn't cut me no check."

As for whether Spears will record any of the remaining tracks Ne-Yo wrote, he said they've been made available to her, but he didn't know whether she would take him up on the offer.

As for advice for the troubled tabloid target: "She gotta remind people why they loved her in the first place. She's got to get people's mind off their personal life and get their mind back on the music."

If that's the case, she has her work cut out for her.

The Los Angeles Police Department is currently investigating a car accident that took place in Venice, California, Monday night. That's when Kevin Federline's former Israeli commando subpoena server, Aaron Cohen, attempted to serve a member of Spears' entourage, Sam Osama Lufti, with papers requiring him to testify in the duo's child custody case.

According to the police report of the incident, obtained by TMZ, Lufti recognized Cohen and promptly revved his silver Mercedes SL, smashing into Cohen's Buick. Lufti then reportedly smashed into a Range Rover before taking off. The LAPD is currently investigating the incident as a potential assault with a deadly weapon (meaning, the vehicle) charge.

At least one member of Spears' former posse is a little better at avoiding getting slapped with a subpoena. Larry Rudolph, the singer's former manager, told Seacrest this week he's been in hiding from Federline's legal team, as he wants to avoid being made to testify in the case for as long as possible.

"Despite the things that Britney has publicly said about our relationship in the past, I truly understand where she's coming from and why she's said the things she said about me postrehab and I don't take it personally," he wrote in a statement to That Other Blog. "As her former manager, I know and understand Britney better than anyone, I know what makes her tick, and I understand everything she's going through. With that being said, my loyalty will always stay strong with Britney."

"I have consulted with my lawyers and I do understand that eventually the time will come when they will find me, but until then, I'm trying to avoid being brought into this mess. She's going through so much right now, and I wish Britney the best."

Britney Spears
Say what you will about those supposed Britney Spears tracks floating around online, but the singer is planning to debut the first single from her new album as early as this weekend. The single is called "Gimmie More," was produced by Danjahandz and is an up-tempo dance track — and is also the song for which the singer was seen shooting a video last month. "It's about feeling good, celebrating womanhood," Danja told MTV News earlier this year. "And if you don't dance to it, I really don't know what you're listening to. It's a new Britney." In related news, Spears will host the grand opening of Las Vegas nightclub LAX at the Luxor on Friday. DJ AM — who, along with Christina Aguilera, is an investor in the club — will man the decks. I also paid approximately $10,000 for Whitney and Bobbi Kris to live in a nice hotel while Whitney was going through rehab ... I basically lived out of my car." In Houston's declaration to the court, she claims Brown has been "almost totally uninvolved in taking care of" Bobbi Kristina and warns, "Bobby is going to try to get child or spousal support from me ... In the magazine — the cover of which features a Bruce Weber photo of a barely clothed Carey — she says, "I am thankful to [Mottola] in a lot of ways. I try not to vilify him. I have to forgive him for being so restrictive. I understand him not wanting me to go out and hang out all night, but going to a spa with friends every now and then, or doing things on my own would have made a world of difference. Report: Britney Spears Backed Out of Justin Timberlake Duet

Britney Spears’ Parents Reconsider Supporting Her

It’s been bad news for Britney Spears ever since she shaved her head earlier this year. But there may be a bit of sunshine for the troubled singer, given that her parents have reportedly decided to side with her in the upcoming custody case.

It was indeed looking grim for the Toxic singer when her parents, Lynne and Jamie Spears, voluntarily gave statements regarding her crazy behavior. But in a sudden change of heart, they’ve refused to sign those statements.

Britney Spears, Kevin Federline, and Parenthood

I was bored out of my mind the other night by the relentless invasion of the Britney Spears/Kevin Federline custody battle into just about every news blurb on every channel. I mean come on, enough is enough. Every report was slanted to focus on Kevin's brave fight to wrestle custody of the couple's two, innocent, helpless children from the clutches of their deranged mother.

Please. Sure Britney has been a little wild lately but if you step back and look at her honestly you see a former child star who evolved into a pop diva (Poptart is a term I always liked) and who now is on the downward side of her career. And it hurts. She is more than likely so used to being the center of attention that she is having trouble adjusting to her role as a "former" superstar. After all, once you are married and getting a little wide in the hip and droopy in the boobs from a couple of pregnancies the old schoolgirl uniform just doesn't seem to fit as well and your 13-year-old market dries right up. That sucks for everyone who has ever experienced it but hey, life goes on.

Kevin on the other hand is simply a poor guy from the wrong side of the tracks who likes to dance and was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time to score very big in the marriage lottery (Man Ho is a term I always liked). He hooked up with a very rich girl. Of course, she is probably so self-centered and such an attention whore that living with her was a huge bitch for him. So he did what any self-respecting gold-digger would do and dumped her whiny ass almost as soon as the ink was dry on the marriage certificate.

Okay, he took the time to do a little breeding first and that is a good thing for him, really. After all, it won't take him long to burn his way through that 12 million dollar divorce settlement. What then? Where does a guy with very few marketable skills other than Man Ho go to find a six or seven figure income? Nowhere, is the answer to that question. Unless of course you have two little meal tickets in the form of children that you can grab control of and use to extract an amazing monthly child support check.

Aha! Now there is an angle of this story that none of those annoyingly cloned news anchors have explored. How much cold, hard cash will those two beautiful children net Kevin per month in child support if he manages to prove that Britney is an unfit mother because she feeds them Pepsi and Doritos and is a bit wack? Fifty or a hundred thousand a month probably isn't out of the question, is it?

I know you are probably thinking I am some kind of heartless bastard and asking why I don't allow that just maybe Kevin is a very good parent and just wants the best for his children. Okay, maybe that is true. Maybe Kevin is really a devoted family man who divorced Britney to escape the horrors of a relationship gone sour and is a father who will spare no expense to keep his children by his side where he can give them the loving, nurturing family environment that all children deserve.

In rebuttal to that idea let me mention Kevin's "other" children. He seems to have abandoned them and their mother a while back to do the Man Ho thing with Britney. Leaving those kids behind didn't seem to bother him a bit. Of course, I know it doesn't matter that the mother of those other children is not rich, I'm sure that has nothing to do with why he isn't desperate to have those children by his side in the three million dollar mansion that he is currently living in. I know Kevin is thinking of his other children and I am sure he sends them some money when he has it.

So there you go, white daddy makes good and gets rich. He buys a mansion for him and his little white children to live in together. His little black children on the other hand get to live with their mother, wherever. Isn't that the way life always seems to go? Both sets of kids are equally his and he isn't with the mother of either and yet the white kids get to live with him in the mansion and the black kids get whatever...

popbytes has the cover here and gives this insta-analysis: "(Britney would) obviously (flee) to avoid the upcoming custody battle with her ex-hubby Kevin Federline) I doubt she'll become a 'runaway mom' anytime soon but it's pretty funny to think about (she probably doesn't even know where France is...)

***

Continuing: "At this point France can have her (they can give her some culture lessons) she's such a mess and I don't expect anything great from her anytime soon (it sounds like her rumored appearance at MTV's video music awards is not happening..."

Will Britney bail on California? Seems like a long shot.

Reports have Britney making VMAs comeback

LAS VEGAS - Will Britney Spears be making her musical comeback on the stage of the MTV Music Video Awards? According to a comment made today by magician Criss Angel, it's looking more and more likely!

Reports have suggested that Britney will not only be performing at the show on September 9, but that she will be the opening act.

Angel, who has been rumored to be Britney's new flame, told People today that their "relationship" is strictly business...of the "performing" sort.

"It's amazing what people think," Angel said. "We're not together. Her manager is my manager, and I'm helping with one of her shows. I'm helping with her appearance on MTV."

As for Britney's Wednesday hotel stay and dinner with Angel, all may not be as it seemed.

"We went to that restaurant with 10 people," he said of their dinner at Cravings in West Hollywood.

"We were talking about how she wants to do something more with the [awards] show," he explained, "and about me helping out and hoping to work with her on doing something to make her MTV appearance more innovative."

But for VMA Music Director Timbaland, Britney's rumored involvement in the show is news to him.

"I'm the maestro," he told Access Hollywood. "If I don't know nothing about it...could be, hope not. I don't know, I don't know nothing about it."

"Wooh, that would be a headache," he added.

A rep for MTV declined to comment when contacted by Access.

Britney last opened the VMA's four years ago, when she, Christina Aguilera and Madonna shocked the world with a combined performance...and some infamous kisses.

This year's show will be broadcast from the Palms Hotel Casino in Las Vegas.
